Challenger Raceway --April 27, 2008-Good season opener for Ron and crew. He said he felt good and car ran well, just didn't "hook up" as well as he'd like. All in all a good day of racing at Challenger. Ron looked real strong in his heat, holding off Josh Richards for several laps and restarts. Richards chunked into his left side pretty good and went around him in the corner to take the checkered a few laps later. It was a solid performance against some of the biggest names in the business and to be first night out was even more impressive. The team was hoping for a top 5 finish, but the solid 8th place finish at last night's "shakedown" for LB1 Motorsports and Ron Davies Racing.com was a teaser for better things to come this season! Stateline Speedway-- May 10, 2008-LB1 Motorsports/Ron Davies Racing rolled into Stateline Speedway Saturday night hoping for better luck.  Having to start at the rear of the field for the heat race, Ron was able to run the 71D Rocket chassis car to a second place finish.  In the feature, starting sixth, Ron and three other cars broke away from the field to put on a great show.  Coming down to the last hand full of laps Ron and the 1u car of Matt Urban battled right to the checkered flag to finish second.  All in all, LB1 Motorsports/Ron Davies Racing, felt the night was a success. Next, Friday and Saturday the team will be traveling to Mckean County Raceway and Stateline Speedway to compete in the IRS shows.
